In the small town of Herrington, Illinois, a sense of unease settles over Herrington High School as students and teachers alike begin to act strangely. At first, it's just little things - a teacher's sudden interest in a student's personal life, or a student's unexplained change in behavior. But as the days go by, the occurrences become more frequent and more bizarre. New student Casey Connor (Elijah Wood) is initially oblivious to the strange happenings, but soon finds himself at the center of it all when his crush, Marybeth Louise Hutchinson (Usher), begins to act out of character. As he delves deeper into the mystery, Casey discovers that something sinister is afoot. A group of students, including Casey, Marybeth, Zeke Tyler (Daniel Rothman), and Stosh Willard (Jared Leto), band together to uncover the truth behind the faculty's bizarre behavior. They soon learn that the teachers are not acting of their own accord - they are being controlled by an alien presence, using body-snatching technology to take over the bodies of the school's staff. As the students dig deeper, they discover that the aliens' ultimate goal is to use the school as a breeding ground for new hosts. With time running out and the faculty getting more and more aggressive, the group must find a way to stop the invasion and save their town before it's too late. Through a series of tense and suspenseful moments, the students face off against their possessed teachers in a desperate bid to survive. Along the way, they uncover secrets about each other's pasts and form strong bonds that will help them in their fight for survival. The Faculty is a gripping sci-fi horror film that pays homage to classic B-movies while also delivering plenty of jump scares and creepy moments.
