In the early 1960s, three Minions - Stuart, Kevin, and Bob - embark on a new adventure after being left behind in New York City. They soon find themselves recruited by Scarlet Overkill, a stylish and cunning super-villain who, along with her husband Herb, has concocted a plan to steal the British Crown Jewels. Scarlet, a master of disguise and deception, has a fascination with Queen Elizabeth II and believes that possessing the crown will grant her ultimate power. With the help of Herb, her brilliant but awkward inventor husband, she sets out to pull off the heist of the century. Meanwhile, Stuart, Kevin, and Bob are thrilled to be working for Scarlet and immediately get to work on their mission. However, things quickly take a turn when they discover that Scarlet's plan is not as foolproof as they thought. As they navigate through various obstacles, they begin to realize that Scarlet's true intentions are far more sinister than they initially suspected. As the Minions stumble upon Scarlet's real plan, they must use their unique skills and teamwork to stop her from carrying out her dastardly scheme.
