Fifty Shades of Black is an American parody film released in 2016, directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Keith Roman, Anderson Morales, and Peter A. Dowling. The movie follows the story of Jamal Jackson (Marlan Wayne), a clumsy and inexperienced college student who becomes infatuated with Shauna Robertson (Kali Hawk), a free-spirited woman with a passion for art. The two meet at a college party, where Jamal attempts to woo Shauna by pretending to be a wealthy businessman named Jamie Foxx. Despite his lack of experience, Jamal manages to impress Shauna and the two begin dating. However, things take a turn when Jamal's friend, Lavelle Junie (Mike Tyson), becomes involved in their lives. Lavelle is a wealthy businessman who is more than happy to share his own BDSM expertise with Shauna, much to Jamal's dismay. As the tension between Jamal and Shauna grows, so does the competition for her affections. Meanwhile, Detective Thompson (Andrew Bachelor) is tasked with investigating a series of murders that seem to be connected to Jamal's newfound love for BDSM. As the bodies pile up, Jamal must confront his own insecurities and learn to navigate his relationship with Shauna in order to uncover the truth behind the killings. Throughout the film, Fifty Shades of Black pokes fun at various elements of popular culture, including the original Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, as well as other notable films like The Matrix.
