Blow is a biographical crime drama film that tells the story of George Jung, a drug trafficker who became one of the most successful cocaine smugglers in the 1970s. The film begins with Jung's difficult childhood in the 1950s, where he struggles to make ends meet as his family faces financial hardship. As Jung grows older, he becomes increasingly frustrated with his circumstances and turns to a life of crime. He joins a group of drug dealers and quickly rises through the ranks due to his cunning and entrepreneurial spirit. However, his success attracts attention from law enforcement, and he is eventually arrested and sentenced to prison for smuggling marijuana. After serving time in prison, Jung becomes obsessed with making a fortune by smuggling cocaine into the United States. He forms a partnership with Pablo Escobar, one of the most notorious drug lords in Colombia, and together they establish a vast network of smugglers and distributors. Meanwhile, DEA agent Stephen Murphy is tasked with taking down Jung and his organization. Murphy becomes increasingly obsessed with capturing Jung, but his personal demons and moral ambiguities make it difficult for him to see the big picture. As the stakes get higher, Jung's relationships with his loved ones begin to fray. His partner, Mirtha, grows tired of his antics and eventually leaves him, while his friends and associates turn against him. In the end, Jung is betrayed by those closest to him and arrested once again, this time for smuggling massive amounts of cocaine. Throughout the film, Blow explores themes of addiction, greed, and the destructive power of the drug trade.
