Plot
In a distant corner of the galaxy, Peter Quill, a human who was abducted as a child and raised by aliens, is living his best life as a galactic adventurer known as Star-Lord. Twenty-six years have passed since his abduction, and Quill has grown into a charismatic and confident individual with a penchant for 1970s music and a strong sense of justice. However, Quill's carefree existence is disrupted when he stumbles upon an ancient orb that holds immense power. Unbeknownst to him, the orb is coveted by Ronan the Accuser, a powerful Kree warrior who seeks to use its energy to destroy entire planets. As Quill becomes aware of the orb's significance, he finds himself pursued by a ruthless alien named Yondu Udonta, who was once his mentor and now serves as the leader of the Nova Corps, an intergalactic police force. Yondu is tasked with capturing Quill and retrieving the orb for the Nova Corps. Meanwhile, Quill forms an unlikely alliance with a group of misfit Guardians: Gamora, a deadly assassin; Drax the Destroyer, a powerful warrior seeking revenge against Ronan; Rocket Raccoon, a wise-cracking genetically engineered raccoon with a penchant for violence; and Groot, a tree-like humanoid with a limited vocabulary. Together, the Guardians embark on a perilous journey to stop Ronan from obtaining the orb and using its power to destroy the galaxy. Along the way, they face off against formidable foes, including Ronan's loyal followers, the Nova Corps, and even each other. As the stakes grow higher, Quill and his newfound friends must put aside their differences and learn to trust one another if they hope to save the galaxy from destruction.
