Plot
In the midst of a successful surgical career, neurosurgeon Stephen Strange's world is turned upside down after a fateful car accident leaves his hands severely damaged. His reputation in tatters, Strange becomes increasingly reclusive and isolated as he struggles to come to terms with his new reality. Desperate for a cure, Strange hears whispers of a mysterious sorcerer who resides in the Far East. Believing that this individual possesses the power to restore his abilities, Strange sets out on a perilous journey to find him. His quest ultimately leads him to the ancient Himalayan city of Kamar-Taj, where he meets the enigmatic Mordo and the brilliant but eccentric sorceress, The Ancient One. Initially rebuffed by the Ancient One due to his arrogance and lack of spiritual connection, Strange is eventually accepted as a student under her guidance. As he delves deeper into the mystic arts, Strange discovers that there are powerful forces at work in the world, threatening the very fabric of reality. With the help of Mordo and the Ancient One's other students, including the lovely Clea, Strange embarks on a journey to master the mystic arts and defend the Earth against dark forces. Along the way, he must confront his own ego and learn to harness his newfound abilities in order to save the world from destruction. As Strange delves deeper into the mysteries of the universe, he finds himself facing off against Kaecilius, a rogue sorcerer who seeks to summon the powerful being known as Dormammu. With the fate of humanity hanging in the balance, Strange must use all of his skills and knowledge to stop Kaecilius and save the world from destruction. In the end, Strange's journey becomes one of self-discovery and redemption, as he learns to harness the power of the mystic arts for the greater good. The film concludes with Strange donning a new mantle, that of the Sorcerer Supreme, as he sets out to defend the Earth against future threats.
